Our story

Rooted here. Sent with purpose.

After years of pastoral training and ministry experience in Costa Rica and the United States, Pastor Warner Álvarez, his wife Gaby, and their son Santiago returned to Sarapiquí with a clear calling: plant a healthy, gospel-centered church for this community.

Sarapiquí is beautiful, generous, and full of potential. It is also home to families facing poverty, addiction, educational barriers, and spiritual isolation. Since March 2023, Comunidad Agua Viva has been building a place where children, teenagers, women, and families can know Jesus and grow together.

Our mission: to be a church that loves God, loves and disciples people, and glorifies Jesus.

What we believe
